l Recruiting and Hiring

Employment Recruiting, Screening and Hiring

For small companies recruiting even one new employee can have a major effect on the dynamics of the organization, so it is vital that the right person be selected, and the correct procedures followed.  Complete HR will assist you in developing your overall recruitment strategy based on such factors as your business strategy, financial resources, current company practices, industry resources, job requirements and applicant profile.  We can utilize multiple candidate sources such as job posting boards, newspapers, for-fee and free resume databases, newsgroups, websites, and associations

With Complete HR you can now access the resources, staff and technology to deliver your hire transactions.  We can purchase job postings for you, post your jobs, send out auto replies to all respondents, and provide centralized online access to all resumes (from multiple sources).  We can source resumes to match your hiring criteria and deliver matching resumes on demand.

Complete HR will screen resume responses from all recruitment sources, phone interview those individuals with the most appropriate career backgrounds and accomplishments and, when appropriate, personally meet with the best candidates.  We will prepare a slate of finalists for you to interview, conduct reference checks and even assist in salary negotiations.  Finally, we will conduct the New Hire Orientation.

Background Checks

By helping employers hire and promote the most qualified people, background checks help reduce turnover, employee theft, and the threat of workplace violence. They also afford protection from lawsuits related to negligent hiring, and improve the company's competitiveness and productivity.  In order to assist our clients in implementing careful hiring practices that afford them highest degree of protection,

Why Employers Should Conduct Pre-employment Screening.  As is evidenced by the following statistics, the loss and liability risks to businesses that fail to conduct background checks have never been greater:

  • In a sample study of 300,000 background checks, 5% of applicants had criminal records; 36% had motor vehicle violations; prior employment was unverifiable for 18%; and education could not be verified for 11%
  • According to the Department of Commerce, 30% of business failures are due to poor hiring practices
  • The National Institute for Occupational Health & Safety reports that 2.2 million workers are physically attacked on the job each year and 6.3 million are threatened with violence
  • According to Rutgers University, replacing an employee costs an average of one and a half times the annual salary of the position

Types of Background Checks.  The background checks available through Complete HR include:

  • Criminal background check (felony and misdemeanor)
  • Social Security number verification
  • Employment history verification
  • Education verification
